Review :
The first thing everyone will feel about this movie is that it is a bit dragging. The movie runs for three whole hours. However the person who enters the theater without any expectation is in for a surprise for sure. People who are looking to see a complete action flick are in for a disappointment. Being a critic and a great fan of Nicole Kidman, i should say did not know how the three hours passed by.

The plot is around the Darwin attack by the Japanese immediately after the Pearl harbor attack. An English women is drawn to Australia to take care of her inherited property. Her husband who was taking care of the property previously get murdered just before her arrival. She reluctantly joins forces with Hugh Jackman to fix that place. The English viceroy at Australia is there to trade for beef for their army. Nicole Kidman driving her cattle with the help of the people around tackling the plots done by enemies is what the movie is all about.

The movie can also be seen in another perspective. A white women enters a racist country and drives out the racism (well kinda). How she falls in love and faces the problems for falling in love with an Australian and how she manages. To be frank I not willing to reveal a lot about the movie. Surprised ?? There is a lot more to see in the movie. As I said, it runs for three hours.

Nicole Kidman still proves to be one of the top actresses in the industry today. She graces on the silver screen with the same charm she had in Moulin Rouge!!. Age has not tarnished her physical appearance nor her attitude towards acting. Thanks to the "Glamorous" love scenes with Hugh Jackman. Hugh jackman plays a physically strong man in the movie. After playing Wolverine in X-Men, he seems to be bumping onto similar roles. But he does his best without much difficulty.

On the whole, if one gets involved in the movie it is a pleasure to watch. A treat for the eyes and the heart. Australia, victim of over expectation.

Lovely review.... i mean kind of sneak peek... everyone who reads will wanna watch it at least once....

Normally, these action flicks(though u say its not one).. but any war, bloodshed kinda muvi is a biig no no for me...

But the women oriented plot attracts me... her grit n courage is something i wud like to see... n so does her romance...

Not a biig fan of hugh jackman.. though i did like him in X-men a little...
A biiiig fan of Nicole Kidman... :)(havn't seen any of her muvi's for ages!!!.... :)
